Prohz has quarterly and annual memberships. All memberships expire in 90 or 365 days from verification, depending on the membership level selected. Memberships can be extended by 60 days for each referral that joins PROHZ. You can also renew at your expiration date or later.

Our 90 day membership is low priced. It usually takes a couple of months to get a project done. When you sign up for the 90 day membership, it should allow adequate time for you to find and hire the right company for you. If you run out of time, you can renew for an additional 90 days, or just go with the annual plan, with renewals as desired.

Yes - PROHZ allows you to have gaps in your membership timeline. With your permanent membership number you can re-join at any time in the future, even after your current membership has expired. You can use PROHZ only when you have a project in mind, or stay on indefinitely to enjoy the Benefits and use it to check on availability of Contractors in your area for any subject at any time.

Yes - PROHZ does not mind if you share the information with your friends and neighbors. PROHZ does hope that each friend or neighbor signs up for their own account, since the memberships are locked to a specific name and address.

Yes, and no. Laws vary from state to state. PROHZ is a database of registered members. Members are requested to be honest and fair in all their dealings. If your trade in your state requires a License, then you should provide and upload proof that you have it, and it is not expired. On the other hand, many remodeling activities do not require a License. The same goes for Insurance. If your trade in your state requires any insurance, you should provide and upload proof that you have it, and it is not expired. On the other hand again, many legally operating Contractors do not have insurance. We only ask that you provide truthful, verifiable information on your application, so potential clients can see if you are Licensed and Insured or not.

No - PROHZ does not have meetings. We are a web and phone app to help you get work done. But, you may see PROHZ representatives at local, regional and national Home Improvement Shows.

PROHZ does not have a store at this time. If Homeowners and Contractors express an interest, we will open one.

PROHZ has the tools to make your contracting life faster, better, smarter, and easier. You can select to be seen by other Contractors only, Homeowners only, or both, or neither. Only Contractors who indicate on the application that they want to be seen by Homeowners and/or Contractors will show up in any search. You can stay off of Homeowner and/or Contractor search results or opt in at any time by making changes to your "Contractor Details" page. You control who sees your information, and you can change it at any time.

Yes - PROHZ has a tool that allows you to change, add, or subtract any number of zip codes at any time, within the membership plan you have selected. If you think a different zip code selection will benefit you, then by all means, add it. Selected zip codes do not have to be connected to each other by map boundaries. You can select exactly where you want to work.

No - PROHZ is for any sized company. You can work by yourself, or with employees and/or other Contractors, Subcontractors, or Independent Contractors.

Maybe - PROHZ will check the Contractors' credentials at application time. It is smart for Homeowners to check the expiration date on the uploaded documents that the Contractor has provided. You can also call their insurance company to verify coverage still exists. Checking a License differs from state to state, but most states do make it easy to check the License holders in your area.

Homeowners can share their address after making contact with the Contractor if they so choose.

Members do rate each other in their own membership home page. As a member, you will have tools to make your experience a good one. PROHZ helps you check the License and Insurance status, address, phone number, and other information about the various Contractors. You have the thumbs up and thumbs down tools at your disposal to help you track your experiences with the listed Contractors over the months and years.

After you have an experience with a Contractor, you can assign a thumbs up or thumbs down tag to them. The tag will remain with them (only on your membership page) until you change it or turn it off. All Contractors that you have assigned a tag to will always show up first on your query lists, reminding you that you had an experience with them in the past. This tool that PROHZ provides will save you time and reduce frustration from calling companies over and over again by mistake, after forgetting who you had called a year or two ago. You can also compare experiences with other friends and neighbors with this tool.

Yes - PROHZ offers free 60-day membership extensions to existing members when they refer us to their friends and neighbors, who in turn BUY any membership, and become verified members. All you have to do is make sure the new member applicant fills out the application correctly, using your name and membership number as the referral, where indicated on the application. With the referral tool, PROHZ helps you and others in your groups to extend your memberships and keep your memberships going at a very low overall cost.

Plain and simply stated, we are here to help you find and hire a Contractor, Subcontractor, or Independent Contractor. If members ask for it though, we will create it.

PROHZ is for real local Contractors and Homeowners only. Search engines that look like Contractors are not allowed. We are not in the business of selling leads to Contractors. We only put out a list of Contractors that have indicated a desire to work in your zip code, doing the subject category that you are searching for, within the timeframes they post.

PROHZ has a simple to use 3 light timeframe system. Green Light ON = ready to work on your project in 0-4 weeks. Yellow Light ON = ready to work on your project in 5-16 weeks. Red Light ON = ready to work on your project in 17-52 weeks. Only 1 Light can be on at a time. This tool saves time by announcing the availability of the individual Contractor company. Contractors can change the Light Status on their account at any time. Doing so will increase or decrease the number of calls coming in, and result in stabilizing the company backlog to that which is most efficient for them.

Unfortunately, this will happen. PROHZ gives you the tools to deal with it. In this case, we recommend that you choose thumbs down for this Contractor, so that you don't call them again in the future. But you may find out that it was an oversight on their part, and they just forgot to update their status. Always ask for an explanation.

PROHZ gives you the tool to update your status in the "Update My Information" section. You can change the light color as your availability changes.

All search results will be sorted by timeline status color, with Green being at the top, followed by Yellow, then Red. If all of your results are Red Lights, then you know there is high demand for those services in your zip code. You can look at the status update column to see when the Contractor last updated their status. If it has been a while, maybe call them and see if they may have forgotten to update it. (The most recently updated statuses will always be listed first.) You can also change or update your expectations about scheduling, and call any of the Contractors for a quote. The status lights do not mean the Contractor is not available to quote the work. It just means that they can't DO the work until the indicated time. If all Contractors are listed as Red Lights for that zip code and subject category, it is an opportunity for a new business to open there or for an existing business to add that zip code to fill the demand gap.

PROHZ gives you the information you need to make an informed decision, but ultimately the choice is yours. Hopefully you will see Contractors listed that you have seen around town, or that you have hired before. If you click on the "View Details" tab of any Contractor listed, you will see the answers to important questions that you should ask every Contractor before hiring them. To save you time and reduce your frustration, PROHZ has already asked the questions for you. All you have to do is read the answers and determine if any of their answers are important to you. The selected Contractors answers are from the application that they filled out when they joined. PROHZ checks these 3 things out of more than 20 questions asked. 1) That the business exists, with a matching address. 2) That any uploaded License is real. 3) That any uploaded Insurance information is real. If you have any problem with a Contractor, select thumbs down for your own future reference, and then call another one. Eventually, you will have a nice list of local Contractors to choose from, depending on the subject matter. When you do a new search, all of your thumbs up or thumbs down Contractors for that subject will be listed first, for your review of past experiences. Below them, you will see the new list sorted by color and availability.

Yes - Only members can use the services of Prohz. The membership is free, or the fee is very low, and allows unlimited use during the term of membership. All memberships can be extended indefinitely at no cost through our referral program.

As a Contractor member, all leads are FREE! You can join for free (Bronze Plan), or pay to be a member. Prohz does not sell leads. You can take as many leads as you can handle, or turn them off, or anything in between.
